Lisa has a clinical background with a global perspective., residing in both Spain and in the US.
Her clinical skill sets include 30 years in the US working in the ICU, ED, Trauma and flight, PEDS, PICU, NICU, as well medical – surgical nursing and ambulatory surgery. Lisa also has healthcare finance background with specialization guiding the reimbursement process under Medicare, insurers, as well as nurse auditor functions and contract management.
Her European awareness, coupled with her US experience provide a unique capacity for increasing her students awareness of global healthcare; such as the United Nations Woman’s Leaders Forum as well as the World Health Organization. In Barcelona, she supports her own co-founded company with her husband that concentrates on coaching life sciences as well as working with Ministries of Health on consulting projects. Her passions include working on issues for woman and children in sub-Saharan Africa and other developing nations. She participates in mission trips to areas such as the Amazon, Zambia and other as needed for disaster relief and support.
She resides with her husband and co-founder Dave Darsch in both Barcelona as well as in West Virginia. Lisa and her husband have 3 children (Davis, Julie and Kelly) and a grandson Alex, all who at the moment live in the US.
