With heartfelt thanks to Michael Stepniak, the Ryuji Ueno Institute for Mind & Music Experience will host its inaugural concert featuring world-class musicians such as Stella Chen (violin), Kevin Zhu (violin) and Ryo Yanagitani (piano). Chen was the Gramophone 2023 Young Artist of the Year and has garnered worldwide attention with her first-prize win at the 2019 Queen Elisabeth Competition, followed by the 2020 Avery Fisher Career Grant and 2020 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award. Zhu was also a winner of the 2018 Paganini Competition, and his stellar record is listed on his website. Yanagitani, the gold medalist at the 10th San Antonio International Piano Competition, will perform both solo and in collaboration with the violinists.
