Three renowned guest choreographers join the Dance Ensemble for a program of dance that transcends time and touches the soul. In this year’s performance, tradition meets innovation with guest artists including Ashanté Greene ’14 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance), creative director for Dance Institute of Washington; Stephen Shynes, an interdisciplinary New York City-based artist; and Eric Parra, a first-generation Colombian-American who is currently a performing artist with Limón Dance Company, Camille A. Brown & Dancers and the Metropolitan Opera House. The program features new original works by rising stars of the dance world, as well as a stunning restaging of There Is a Time, the 1956 masterpiece by the legendary American choreographer José Limón. This iconic work, celebrated for its powerful exploration of the human experience through dance, will be brought to life by our talented students, paying homage to Limón’s enduring legacy.
This performance is made possible by the Lewis Endowed Fund for Visiting Dance Artists.
