2019 Sport Management Super Bowl Trip

Seven Shenandoah University students, chosen through a selective process, worked at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia, in February 2019. The services of the Sport Business Association (SBA) were specifically requested after the SBA volunteered at the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship game in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The students worked closely with National Football League On Location experiences and the Atlanta Host Committee. They saw, firsthand, the planning that goes into the operation and production of one of the most widely recognized sporting events in the world. They also drew upon their critical thinking skills and prior knowledge of the stadium to assist in way finding and media credentialing. Hands-on experience is a major part of Shenandoah’s business curriculum, including the sport management concentration.
