Business Symposium 2019 Highlights

The 11th annual Business Symposium held by Shenandoah University’s Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business in March 2019 featured two world-class keynote speakers and plenty of learning and networking opportunities for the regional business community, as well as for Byrd School students. Each year, the symposium draws extraordinary presenters. This year, the morning keynote was provided by Marilyn Tam, Ph.D., one of the top 100 leadership speakers in the world, a former CEO of Aveda, and current CEO of her own firm, which is dedicated to supporting companies and nonprofit and governmental organizations in achieving their mission and goals. Chris Ullman, known as The Happy Whistler, was the second keynote speaker. Ullman, a director of global communications at The Carlyle Group in Washington, D.C., is also a four-time international whistling champion, an inspirational speaker and the author of the book “Find Your Whistle.” Learn more about the Byrd School of Business at https://www.su.edu/business and be sure to watch out for announcements about the 2020 symposium!
