The first of five planned buildings in Shenandoah University’s upperclass student housing community, The Village, opened in August 2016. Caruthers House is home to 24 juniors and seniors, who will not only live in the apartment-style units, but also mentor their fellow students. The house is named in honor of Preston C. Caruthers and the late Jeanne Caruthers for their longtime support and commitment to the students of Shenandoah University. The second house in the community is slated for an October 2016 opening.
