Kathleen LaSala, Ph.D., RN, MSN, PNP, CNE, dean of Shenandoah University’s Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing shares what drew her to both nursing (she’s a pediatric nurse practitioner) and nursing education, as well as what makes Shenandoah’s nursing program special: educators who are also practitioners; small classes that allow students and professors to get to know one another; the admission of freshman into the program, and programs situated at several campuses.
