Shenandoah Conservatory is now All-Steinway School, with Steinway-produced pianos touching every part of the conservatory, which offers programs in music, theatre, dance, and performing arts leadership and management. The All-Steinway School initiative began four years ago, as university leaders decided to upgrade the piano fleet to match the work being done in the conservatory. By the summer of 2015, Shenandoah Conservatory had acquired 84 new Steinway or Steinway-produced pianos with the help of a number of deeply dedicated and enthusiastic donors. The All-Steinway effort is part of a series of projects revealing Shenandoah University’s commitment to excellence. It’s one that is not only enriching student lives now, but will also benefit students and the community for generations to come.
