The James R. Wilkins, Athletics & Events Center at Shenandoah University is the culmination of years of university planning to provide a top-notch space for its athletes and for the greater Winchester-Frederick County community. While it looks to the future, the facility also recognizes the importance of those who influenced the development of Shenandoah’s athletic programs. On Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, following a ribbon-cutting for the Wilkins Athletics & Events Center, the Dave and Kathy Dutton Court was dedicated in the memory of Dave, Shenandoah’s former athletics director and head men’s basketball coach, and his wife, Kathy, who coached the dance team, the Sensations. The Duttons’ four children were on hand for the dedication.
