The ShenEd transition is beginning Fall 2019 — Follow these steps and guidelines.
New ShenEd Program
Students who enter in Fall 2019 will have access to the new ShenEd curriculum and the advising resources to help them make appropriate choices.
Previous General Education Program
Students who entered before Fall 2019 will follow the old general education curriculum.
Since the old distribution model continues to exist in a repackaged format, courses will be available to meet the current ShenEd requirements. Courses in ShenEd will be identified as substitutions for any classes that are no longer part of ShenEd (that were part of the old GE curriculum). The Associate Provost’s office will provide guidelines for students who are trying to finish their GE requirements once ShenEd is implemented. Support will be offered to advisors, and a system will be set in place with the Registrar’s Office so that students will not be burdened by the change.
