The property features a large regional museum, and Glen Burnie, which is the home of Winchester’s founder, Colonel James Wood. Six acres of formal gardens contain the headwaters of Town Run as well as several large native trees.
The Museum is also in the process of building trails on its 90-acre green space. This three-mile-long trail complex will provide for walking, running, and biking through the site’s fields, wood, and wetlands.
Hours of Operation: Open year-round, Tuesday-Sunday. Admission charged for the museum, gardens, and Glen Burnie house. The new trail complex will be free when it opens.
