Catherine Burke is a young health care leader at WVU Medicine in Martinsburg, WV. She was born and raised in Winchester, VA and graduated from Shenandoah University in 2012, 2015 and 2018 with a B.S in Biology, B.S. in Nursing, and Master’s of Business Administration, respectively. She began her nursing career at Winchester Medical Center in the Emergency Department before working as a cardiac RN at Winchester Cardiology & Vascular Medicine. Since February 2018 she has been the Director of Quality and Nursing at WVU Medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, and traveling as much as possible in her spare time. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Executive Nurse Leadership at Baylor University online. She aspires to continue to take the skills and leadership strengths that she gained at Shenandoah University and continue to make a difference within the community that she lives in and loves.
