Water Safety is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Brandt Student Center. Learn how to stay safe in the water. An information session about water safety will be hosted by the Shenandoah Outdoor & Adventure Recreation (SOAR) program and will provide information about recognizing and avoiding rip currents, properly wearing a life vest, and proper paddle signals. Humanity is constantly destroying nature in order to make room for parking lots, super stores, housing and so much more. An estimated 18 million acres are lost each year to deforestation; deforestation does not have to occur so often. Come get educated on the cause and learn more about what we can do.
