Conservatory Performs

Conservatory Performs is Shenandoah Conservatory’s premier performance series featuring a dynamic lineup of music, theatre and dance by the conservatory’s own award-winning faculty and students, as well as unforgettable performances by internationally acclaimed guest artists. With more than 150 performances annually, Conservatory Performs is the region’s most robust and diverse performing arts presenter.

During the academic year, Conservatory Performs features performances by Shenandoah Conservatory’s Dance and Theatre divisions, as well instrumental ensembles, including Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, jazz ensembles, vocal ensembles and more.

Additionally, Conservatory Performs comprises three major guest artist series:

  • Performing Arts Live is a multidisciplinary series presenting bold, ambitious, live performances by award-winning innovators and masters in the field of music, theatre and dance.
  • World of the Piano, established in 2003, features a dynamic array of piano virtuosi from around the world.
  • Shenandoah New Music, the conservatory’s newest series, is committed presenting works by living composers and innovative new music ensembles.

During the summer, Shenandoah Conservatory’s Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre presents beloved musicals from recent Broadway hits to unforgettable classics.
