|NEW VENUE!
Low Brass Christmas will now take place at the Patsy Cline Theatre located in John Handley High School (425 Handley Blvd, Winchester, VA 22601).
Matthew Niess, Director
Special guest Christopher Bill conducts this year’s Low Brass Christmas, a holiday play-along in the style of Tuba Christmas. Low brass players of any age are invited to participate. Bring your horn, music stand and wear an ugly Christmas sweater or come as you are!
This year’s event also includes a performance by the Studio Big Band (Matthew Niess, director) at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Christmas play-along. The pre-event concert features selections from A Stan Kenton Christmas and other holiday favorites. The Studio Big Band will be augmented with French horns, creating a twenty-three-piece jazz orchestra.
The event is free and listeners are welcome as well. Win a prize for ugliest sweater or come as you are.
