Lean In & Engage
Q: What excites you about working on this program?
Steven Bryant, Jonathan Newman and Roshanne Etezady are friends of many years – the chance to put their music together (and have two of them here in person) is an incredibly exciting opportunity. Additionally, Newman’s Tender Hearts combines sound and film – he wrote the piece to accompany Mary Pickford’s silent film by the same name.”

Q: What are you excited about for audiences to experience?
Steve Bryants’ Ecstatic Waters is a monumental electro-acoustic piece in which the audience struggles to figure out what sounds are acoustic tones and which are new hybrids created by Steve’s great electronic effects. Additionally, Steve’s piano concerto is a great opportunity to collaborate with Alex Bernstein. Jonathan Newman’s Tender Hearts combines sound and film – he wrote the piece to accompany Mary Pickford’s silent film by the same name.”
