Passport Control
Step into the future of music with Shenandoah Conservatory’s trailblazing EDGE Ensemble as they launch the university’s 150th anniversary season in bold, global style. Passport Control is an electrifying evening of contemporary music featuring living composers from Australia, Iceland, Poland, Slovenia and Sweden.
With the shimmering soundscapes of Icelandic sensation Ólafur Arnalds, the rhythmic drive of Chris Perren’s futuristic Practical Mechanics, the rocket-speed of Henryson’s Off Pist duo, and a surprise appearance by the Conservatory Choir, this program promises an adventurous journey across borders and genres.
Adding to the thrill is the setting itself: Bright Box Theater, Winchester’s intimate downtown venue with cocktail-style seating, craft beers, creative cocktails and a full food menu. With the artists just a few feet away, audiences can expect an immersive, one-of-a-kind concert experience where every note resonates up close.
Celebrate Shenandoah’s sesquicentennial and experience the future of sound with the EDGE Ensemble.
