The Shenandoah Conservatory Studio Big Band, under the direction of Matthew Niess, joins forces with guest artists from Jazz at Lincoln Center and Shenandoah University jazz faculty for a grand concert celebrating the timeless music of Duke Ellington. This inspiring finale caps an all-day event of performances, masterclasses and workshops, bringing together high school jazz bands from across the region to honor the legacy of one of America’s greatest composers.
