From Shenandoah to the National Stage
Fresh from its selection to perform at the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) National Conference, one of the nation’s most prestigious gatherings of wind band musicians and educators, the Wind Ensemble presents a vibrant program showcasing contemporary voices in wind band music. Featuring Jonathan Newman’s evocative Piʻilani and Koʻolau, the performance explores themes of joy, storytelling and place through colorful orchestration and dynamic musical expression. The program also includes an encore presentation of Adolphus Hailstork’s Celebration! Experience the artistry and energy that earned the ensemble national recognition in a program celebrating the creativity and vitality of today’s wind repertoire.
