Shenandoah University is dedicated to the principle of universal web access. We strive to provide a website that accommodates the broadest possible audience, irrespective of individual abilities.

We strive to meet the W3C’s WCAG 2.2 AA standards because we want our website to work seamlessly for everyone, including individuals with visual, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

To ensure a barrier-free digital experience, we use a combination of accessibility tools:

  • Personalized Experience: Our built-in accessibility interface lets you easily adjust the website’s look and feel to suit your unique needs:
Accessibility Icon: click to open accessibility panel
  • Behind-the-Scenes Technology: An AI-powered application continuously scans and optimizes our website. It automatically updates our code to ensure full compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation so nothing gets in your way.

We are constantly working to make our website perfectly tailored to everyone’s needs, but you may occasionally find pages that are still being updated or are waiting for better technical solutions. We view accessibility as an ongoing journey and are always working to improve our features as new technologies emerge.

If you have questions, feedback, or need assistance, please email the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) at omc@su.edu. We welcome your feedback!
