Celebrate the next generation of guitarists at the Shenandoah Guitar Festival Student Showcase Concert, the culminating event of this year’s festival. Directed by Candice Mowbray ’03, ’12 (Master of Music in Performance, Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance), this inspiring performance features outstanding student artists in a vibrant program that reflects the artistry, growth and collaboration cultivated throughout the festival. Showcasing a range of styles and voices, the concert offers a fitting finale to a weekend dedicated to the guitar.
About Shenandoah Guitar Festival
Now its in third year, the Shenandoah Guitar Festival is a gathering of students, enthusiasts and professionals in a celebration of the art of the guitar on the main campus of Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester. The festival brings together a vibrant community of performers, educators and audiences for concerts, masterclasses and collaborative experiences that highlight the versatility and artistry of the guitar. This year’s event includes four extraordinary concerts featuring performances by Colin Davin and friends, the Patterson/Sutton Duo, Leonela Alejandro, Ziggy & Miles and Jason Vieaux.
