Experience an unforgettable evening with Grammy Award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux as he takes the stage at the Shenandoah Guitar Festival. Celebrated for his lyricism, technical brilliance and deeply expressive interpretations, Vieaux is one of today’s leading voices in classical guitar. His captivating program traverses a rich musical landscape, from the rhythmic energy of Jorge Morel’s Danza Brasilera and the timeless elegance of Bach’s Prelude, Fugue and Allegro, BWV 998 to the vibrant folk-inspired dances of José Luis Merlin’s Suite del Recuerdo.

The recital also features original works by Vieaux, including the evocative Tidal Pools and his reflective composition Home, alongside Pat Metheny’s luminous Four Paths of Light, written for and dedicated to Vieaux. Blending virtuosity, intimacy and contemporary artistry, this performance promises to be a festival highlight.

Now in its third year, the Shenandoah Guitar Festival is a gathering of students, enthusiasts and professionals in a celebration of the art of the guitar on the main campus of Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester. The festival brings together a vibrant community of performers, educators and audiences for concerts, masterclasses and collaborative experiences that highlight the versatility and artistry of the guitar. This year’s event includes four extraordinary concerts featuring performances by Colin Davin and friends, the Patterson/Sutton Duo, Leonela Alejandro, Ziggy & Miles and Jason Vieaux.
