Van Buren Winds
Sunday, September 27 @ 2:30 pm
Armstrong Concert Hall
The Van Buren Winds presents Requiem for a People, a compelling program of chamber music culminating in the world premiere of a new work by composer and oboist Stephen Key. Featuring Julietta Curenton (flute), Stephen Key (oboe/composer), Garrick Zoeter (clarinet), Ryan Romine (bassoon), Geoff Pilkington (horn) and Ryo Yanagitani (piano), the ensemble brings together distinguished artists for an evocative afternoon of music. The program also features works by William Hurlstone and Florence Price, celebrating a rich range of musical voices while placing new music in dialogue with works from the chamber repertoire.
