Akemi Takayama, violin & Richard Masters, piano
Friday, October 2 @ 7:30 pm
Goodson Chapel – Recital Hall
Faculty & Guest Artist Recital
Join us for an extraordinary collaborative recital featuring the brilliant violinist Akemi Takayama and acclaimed guest pianist Richard Masters (Virginia Tech faculty). Renowned for their individual technical prowess and deep musical sensitivity, these two exceptional artists join forces for a powerhouse performance that promises to inspire and captivate.
Together, Takayama and Masters will bring to life a compelling program that traverses three distinct musical eras. Experience the profound, timeless structure of Johann Sebastian Bach, the lush, soaring Romanticism of Johannes Brahms, and the intensely passionate, lyrical beauty of Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu.
