My name is Melinda Dixon and I am an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Shenandoah University.

What Courses Do You Teach?

I teach N308 (Health Across the Lifespan: Childbearing Families), NL222 (Skills for Nursing Practice 1), N200 and N 200Lab (Fundamentals of Nursing Practice), N201L (Health Assessment).

When Are Your Office Hours?

My office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12p-1p.

How Long Have You Taught At SU? Have You Taught At Any Other Colleges Or Universities? If So, Where?

I am currently teaching my first semester at SU.  Previously I was adjunct faculty at Loyola University in Chicago.

What Types Of Nursing Jobs Have You Had?

I’ve held jobs in medical surgical, maternal-child and pediatrics home health.

What is your best memory of SU?

I’ve only been here a short time so I’d have to say it was the welcoming environment I received when I arrived at SU.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I really like to exercise.
