Dear Alumni,
I am enjoying spring in Virginia – some days in feels like winter and some days it feels like spring but each day gains a minute of daylight! I hope you are feeling the awakening that comes with this season.
It can be difficult to feel that re-birth with all that happening in our world – Russia’s war in Ukraine, the continued vigilance to the COVID-19 pandemic as restrictions are lifted, a baby is born every day and our loved ones pass on. I have love, family and friends, a place to call home, a career, food, and transportation, and so much more. For these and other blessings in my life, I pause each morning to be grateful, and I pray that others may also be so fortunate. I hope you can find a way to help those less fortunate in your community or in our world – a prayer, a donation, or an act of kindness.
This spring also brings us a new Executive Director of Alumni & Constituent Relations in the Office of Advancement. Read more about Krista Humphries ’16 ’20 in the top story of this month’s alumni e-News, and help me welcome her into this role. She is passionate about Shenandoah University and I look forward to how she can help us have a positive influence on your alumni experience.
I would love to hear from you and how your Alumni Association can better serve you. Email me at anne.lewis65@gmail.com!
