Black Excellence Gala, 6:30 p.m. ($20)
Location: Ferrari Room, Brandt Student Center
The gala is a night dedicated to celebrating Black excellence on campus and in our community. At the event, we will recognize the 2022 Black Alumni Network (BAN) Award recipients along with current students and faculty who have made a difference in the Shenandoah community. Not sure what to wear to a gala? Please dress in business casual attire.
Hornet Cookout, Noon
Location: Leadership Lawn, outside the Brandt Student Center
Join alumni, current students and the Shenandoah community for some tasty barbecue and the chance to win raffle prizes! This is a great opportunity to network and meet with other members of the Shenandoah community, including our Black Alumni Network members.
“So Amazing” 50 years of Harambee Gospel Choir, 6 p.m.
Location: Mt Carmel Baptist Church (1317 S Pleasant Valley Rd, Winchester, VA 22601)
Join us in celebrating the history and legacy of Harambee Gospel Choir. Enjoy a selection of songs that span the choir’s existence performed by alumni and current members of the Hamabee Gospel Choir for their reunion concert. This is something that is “So Amazing” that you don’t want to miss it!
