Audition & Interview Requirements
All Theatre Design & Production (BFA) applicants will be interviewed on an audition day by a Theatre Design & Production faculty member. During the interview, the candidate gives a résumé to the faculty and then presents their portfolio designed to appropriately represent their work and experience. Applicants who have their portfolio materials in a digital format (ex: website, audio/video/photo files, or links to an electronic platform like Google Docs, YouTube, etc.) should plan to screen share or pull up their work on their computer during their interview. Furthermore, the applicant should upload those materials at least two weeks in advance of their actual audition date. Suggested portfolio contents are listed below for each area of emphasis; however applicants are encouraged to include any additional materials that represent their individualized artistic range, skills and interests including, but not limited to, theatre. Applicants should keep in mind the portfolio review portion of their interview will be approximately 15 minutes and to be prepared to present their work in that timeframe.
