Shenandoah Conservatory is home to more than twenty instrumental, choral and dance ensembles presenting numerous performances each year. On-campus venues include Armstrong Concert Hall, Goodson Chapel – Recital Hall, Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre (proscenium stage), Glaize Studio Theatre, the Harold Herman Lab Theatre (in development), and Shenandoah’s outdoor amphitheater. Students also perform at multiple venues across the Northern Shenandoah Valley (including historic Winchester’s Bright Box Theater) and around the world.
Conservatory student ensembles regularly engage with Shenandoah’s dynamic faculty and an array of distinguished guest artists through residencies, workshops and unique side-by-side performance opportunities. Most ensembles are open, by audition, to all Shenandoah University students regardless of degree.
