My favorite spots around SU: My favorite spot at SU is by the stream. It’s so peaceful, and wildlife always visits. In Winchester, I love visiting the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. Not only is the Museum itself very interesting, but the site is also home to beautiful walking trails, complete with art sculptures and a botanical garden.
What makes SU special to me: The diverse community at SU is very special to me. From my first day on campus, I immediately felt like I had a supportive group of friends and faculty who were invested in my success, regardless of my background or social standing. The faculty and students here are extremely welcoming and ready to develop personal relationships that help you find your niche. I was blessed with many opportunities, and I learned a lot about what it means to live authentically in a multicultural society.
My advice: Be open and imaginative! Ask questions, meet new people, and make observations while visiting SU to create your own idea of where you want to be in the future.
