Interfaith Opportunities & Religious Diversity
Part of the Office of Spiritual Life’s vision is to foster a culture of inclusion where students will celebrate diversity and engage a multicultural worldview recognizing, respecting, and celebrating differences in Religious, Secular, and Spiritual Identities (RSSI). One of the ways we seek to do this is through interfaith programming where all Shenandoah community can engage in dialogue and service with peers of diverse religious and faith traditions. Programming includes:
- Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging events
- Local community service opportunities
- Participation in the Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter
- Fireside chats
- Iftar (Ramadan celebrations)
- Seder Passover celebration
- Meditation sessions
- Catholic and Protestant chapel services
- Support for students seeking to lead groups of all RSSI
- And more!
