Students and faculty in the Music Production & Recording Technology program visited New York City to attend the 146th Audio Engineering Society (AES) Convention in October. The AES convention welcomes audio engineers, music production professionals and manufacturers of audio equipment. It not only brings audio and music production professionals together, but also showcases current audio production trends in the industry.
Conference participants attended workshops, roamed the exhibit floor and connected with fellow audio professionals. They also met with Shenandoah University alumni and visited Big Orange Sheep Recording in Brooklyn where Alex Haley ’16 (Bachelor of Music in Music Production & Recording Technology) and co-owner Mike Perez-Cisneros offered a tour of the studio and discussed the recording industry scene in New York City.
