Shenandoah Conservatory’s voice students had a strong showing in the Virginia National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30. The conference was held virtually this year, with students submitting videos instead of the usual live auditions. Several students placed in their categories, and others made honors and will advance to the regional NATS competition next month. All placing students study with Associate Professor of Voice (Tenor) Byron Jones ’04, D.M.A., or Assistant Professor of Voice Fotina Naumenko, D.M.A.
