The Clothesline Project Display

April 12, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Clothesline Project Display The Clothesline Project display will take place from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the quad. The Clothesline Project is a national campaign started in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. It is a visual display of art created on t-shirts by survivors of physical, sexual and emotional violence to express their feelings and stories of abuse and survival. The shirt is then hung on a clothesline to be viewed by the public as testimony to the problem of interpersonal violence and to let those who may suffer in silence know that they are not alone. The [Not Just] Women’s Center invites you to make a shirt for yourself or in honor of someone else Tuesday 4/11/23. They will be displayed on the quad, on Wednesday 4/12/23. The Clothesline Project is a visual display that bears witness to effects of sexual violence on our community. For more information, please contact the [Not Just] Women’s Center at thenjwc@su.edu.
