Extended & Distance Education provides leadership, vision and operational management for primarily online, but also hybrid and face- to-face educational programs that allow Shenandoah University to serve new populations and current populations in new ways.

Meet Program Director Denny Keffer, M.Ed.

Prior to coming to SU, Keffer spent 34 years in public education as a teacher, principal, central office personnel. He served previously as an adjunct to VCU in school administration and supervision. He is currently in his tenth year at SU overseeing the Extended & Distance Education that includes Teachers for Tomorrow; VESI courses; Teacher recertification courses; Gifted Education; Shenandoah Valley Writing Project; Children’s Literature Conference.
