Standerfer Shares Two Presentations at ISME Conference in Azerbaijan

Interim Director of Music Education and Professor of Music Education Stephanie Standerfer, Ph.D., gave two presentations for the International Society for Music Education World Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan, in July. “Uses for Augmented and Virtual Reality Technology in Music Education Programs” summarized her work as a Technology Fellow last year investigating applications for the virtual reality technology in the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning. “Shared Assessment Strategies’ Impacts on Music Teacher Identity Development” illustrated layered results of two studies she conducted, one a national survey of music teacher educators, and one a study of Shenandoah University students and alumni in the music education program.
