Ridenhour ’15 Choreographs New Show Commemorating Kings Dominion’s 50th Anniversary

Sarah Mawyer Ridenhour ’15 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) returned for her fourth season at Kings Dominion to choreograph a new show commemorating the park’s 50th anniversary. The “50 Years of Fun Street Party” highlights the park’s past five decades with a daily parade and show. This performance features a rocking musical soundtrack of pop hits complemented with signature moves from each decade. The celebration runs through Saturday, August 9, 2025 (excluding Mondays).

Ridenhour first performed at Kings Dominion in 2015. She transitioned to associate choreographer for WinterFest ’19 and Grand Carnivale ’22, before she was contracted as the park’s choreographer for Haunt ’22 through its current season.

Pictured is Ridenhour, joined by Shenandoah University students Holly Bishop ’28 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance), Clara Chenault ’27 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) and recent graduate Alayna Watkins ’25 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance).
