Auxiliary Adjunct Associate Professor of Voice and Co-Founder of the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute Edrie Means Weekly ’84, M.M., was a contributing author for “Training Contemporary Commercial Singers,” a book by Elizabeth Benson and released by Compton Publishing (2020).
Weekly was also recently appointed to the advisory board of the Pan American Vocology Association.
She presented a research paper, “Vocal Health Practices of Choral Conductors” at the virtual Voice Foundation Symposium and a workshop, “Country Singing 101 for Music Theatre,” at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) virtual conference where she was also invited to be on the contemporary commercial music (CCM) panel. Weekly presented research on “Does Training Change for Classical Singers After College?” and a workshop, “Vocal Cool Down: Restoring Balance Post Heavy Voice Load,” at the Pan American Vocology Association virtual conference. She also taught a continuing education course virtually, “Musical Theatre Singing Styles,” for the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute this summer.
