Hill Awarded Best Romantic Short and Best Short Screenplay from Silver Mask Live Festival

Visiting Associate Professor of Acting Cedric Hill, B.A., was awarded the Best Romantic Short for his movie “Noisy” and Best Short Screenplay for his script “My Friend” from season six of the Los Angeles-based Silver Mask Live Festival.

“Noisy” Synopsis

Sam gets on the subway to get home. He catches the eye of April. The two of them discover they have way more in common than where they’re heading. Sometimes you need a noisy place to have a quiet conversation.

“My Friend” Synopsis

Caesar is running for his life in Virginia in 1890. He runs through the woods, just when he outran his pursuers, he missteps and tumbles down a steep hill and bumps his head, managing to also get his ankle stuck in between two rocks. With his pursuers getting closer, he sees a strange figure in the night. She covers his mouth to keep him from making a sound. He escapes. Realizing his savior is death, he tries to outrun her, but ends up out of breath in a clear field. Instead of leading to his demise, a conversation sparks a friendship that lasts a lifetime.
