Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Literature Alanna Ropchock Tierno, Ph.D., was invited to chair a session on the reception of Josquin des Prez at a two-day Josquin conference in Rome, Italy, that marked the 500th anniversary of the composer’s death in 1521. The conference was organized by the Alamire Foundation.

Tierno was also invited to participate in the workshop “Die Motette im deutschen Sprachraum, 1500–1550 (The Motet in German-Speaking Lands),” held at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria.
