Education Doctoral Student Honored With Tech Award

Nick Grzeda only educator recognized as a NextGen Leader

Nick Grzeda, a third-year Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership student and graduate of Shenandoah’s Professional Studies Certificate in Administration & Supervision program was recently honored as a 2022 Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) NextGen Leader.  

The NextGen Award annually honors companies, executives, and leaders who are driving technology innovation and implementing new solutions. Grzeda, who is the Loudoun County Public Schools’ computer science supervisor, was the only educator among those receiving the NVTC honor. 

His nomination was for the LCPS Computer Science Office’s successful work and forward-thinking in integrating the state’s Computer Science Standards of Learning (SOLs), supporting multiple programs such as PROPEL/Level Up, being a part of the of the Regional CS Division Leader Council, being a Virginia Expanding Computing Education Pathways (ECEP) plan representative, and implementing programs that will provide students with workforce readiness with computer science skills.
