On Nov. 18, Charles L. “Cy” Maulden (D ’47) was honored as the special guest of the 95th Concord Christmas Parade in Concord, North Carolina, for his longtime service to the community and country as he is a World War II veteran.

He was also invited to serve as a guest conductor for a residency in Carnegie Hall in June 2024. (Pictured to the left.)

Marjory Serrano-Coyer and Hsin-Yu ChenIn November, Marjory Serrano-Coyer (C ’04, C ’06, C ’08, C ’10) and Hsin-Yi Chen (C ’99, C ’01, C ’02), released their new album, “Sonatas Venezolanas.” (Pictured to the right.) Dan Merceruio (C ’06), Joshua Frey (C ’19, C ’20) and Dan Shores (C ’99) were featured in this collaborative project. 

On Nov. 27, Ryan Bailey (C ’08) performed in “Home for the Holidays,” an evening of story and song at Penn Yan Academy, in Penn Yan, New York.

On Nov. 18, Kipyn Martin (C ’12) performed “A Tribute to the Music of Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell” at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center in Columbia, Maryland.

On Nov. 26, Anthony J. Massetto (C ’21) performed as a soloist in the 81st performance of Handel’s “Messiah”, which was presented by The New Castle Music Club Chorus in Newcastle, Pennsylvania.

Riley JohnstonRiley Johnston (C ’23) was casted in the new national tour of the Broadway musical “Shrek.” (Pictured to the left.)

In November, Riley Thad Young (C ’23) was involved in the new musical workshop for “To Sir with Love,” which was presented at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, Maine.
