McManus Presents as Part of Lecture Series Hosted by Maryland Symphony Orchestra

Coordinator of Music Literature and Associate Professor of Music History and Literature Laurie McManus, Ph.D., will present as part of the “Tracing the Musical Journey of Women Through History” lecture series hosted by the Maryland Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, March 20. Dr. McManus will explore challenges faced by women composers in Western societies from the Baroque era to the present day through insightful case studies and vibrant musical examples.
