Become a Habitat Hero!

Become a Habitat Hero on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Hazel-Pruitt Armory, Collaboratory. The event will feature clips from the documentary “Hometown Habitat: Stories of Bringing Nature Home,” opening remarks from President Tracy Fitzsimmons, Ph.D., and an interactive Q&A with local native plant experts. Free seed ball and compost giveaways, snacks and drinks will be available, and native plants will be for sale. This event counts towards Beyond the Classroom credit. The event is free and sponsored by the Environmental Studies Department, the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning, and the Environmental Studies and Sustainability student organization.
