Nature Journaling Festival

The Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning will host a Fall Nature Journaling Festival on Fridays from Sept. 26, through Oct. 31, from noon to 1 p.m. in Cooley Hall, Room 106. The series will feature recorded sessions from the September 2025 Wild Wonder Nature Journaling Conference and provide a collaborative space to learn new techniques and experiment with different media. Faculty, staff and students are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring lunch and a journal, though supplies and snacks will be provided. These events will count towards Beyond the Classroom Credit. Session topics include: Sept. 26, 10 Ways to Level Up Your Sketching; Oct. 3, Style Buffet: Taste Test Yummy Visual Methods; Oct. 10, How to Make Poetry Comics from Nature; Oct. 17, Gesture Sketching with Brush Pens; Oct. 24, How to Journal a River; and Oct. 31, Charting Curiosity: Data Visualization Tools.
