Women in Politics Dialogue: Power, Progress, and Possibility

The Center for Civic Engagement will host “Women in Politics: Power, Progress, and Possibility” on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Pruitt Health and Life Sciences Building, Halpin Rotunda. The discussion will feature former Virginia House of Delegates candidate and First-Year Seminar professor Mady Jimenez-Torres, who will share her journey and discuss the challenges and opportunities women face in politics. The event will also explore female representation in government and the women-led Virginia governor’s race. Participants will earn one Beyond the Classroom credit, and donuts will be provided.
