J. Seth Chatfield, PhD
Associate Dean of SU Asia, Professor of Management
Dr. Chatfield‘s research interests are centered around leadership and successful, sustainable organizational change in regards to performance improvement in patient quality, outcomes, and experiences in healthcare institutions.

Yvonne Chen, PhD
Founding Dean of SU Asia, Professor of Economics
Dr. Chen is the Founding Dean of SU Asia. An economist, educator, and architect of innovative academic programs, she brings more than 35 years of experience in higher education. A former Senior Associate Dean for Global Initiatives, she has twice led AACSB reaccreditation and now provides academic and strategic leadership for SU Asia’s growing global portfolio.

Wenbin Tang, PhD
Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance
Dr. Tang completed his postdoctoral program in accounting and finance at the University of Florida. He obtained his bachelor’s in international business from the Renmin University of China. Tang teaches managerial accounting, financial accounting, financial management, investments and portfolio management.
Lili Zhu, PhD
Professor of Finance, Director of Curriculum & Assessment
Dr. Zhu conducts research on topics within the fields of international financial markets, international economics, and bank regulation/management. She has published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Applied Finance, Journal of Behavioral Finance, Banking and Finance Review, World Economy, Journal of Economics and Business, Global Finance Journal.

Kueiyang Cheng, PhD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Cheng is the faculty director for the GDOL program and a member of the doctoral thesis committee. She is an Assistant Professor at Providence University in Taiwan. Prior to joining Providence University, She also served as the Project Researcher for the National Science Council. Her research interests lie in the area of strategic management and international business.
Giles Jackson, PhD
Associate Professor of Business, Sustainability and Society
A senior faculty member with almost 30 years of service to Shenandoah University, Dr. Jackson teaches sustainable business strategy, advanced management theory and practice, marketing and branding, and also directs the business school’s internship program. A passionate advocate of experiential learning, he has led consulting projects with hundreds of companies and non-profit organizations.
Gang Cheng, PhD
Professor of Management
Dr. Cheng is an Associate Professor of Economics and Business Management at Beijing Normal University in China. He obtained his undergraduate degree in economics and Ph.D. in economics and business management from Beijing Normal University. After graduated, Dr. Cheng joined Beijing Normal University as a faculty member and was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Educational Economics and the Secretary-General of the Educational Economics Branch of the Chinese Education Society. Dr. Cheng has published over 40 scholarly entries, including 13 textbooks and handbooks. For his research efforts he received the Beijing Municipal Distinguished Scholar award. His research interests focus on economics, human resource management and education policies. Dr. Cheng is chair of the GDOL program’s doctoral thesis committee.
Alan McKay, PhD
Dr. McKay completed his master’s and Ph.D. in health care administration at University of Mississippi in 1980. After that, he became an assistant professor at Mercer University College of Pharmacy. He joined the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 1983 before moving to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice in 1990. Then he began his new position as founding dean of Shenandoah University’s School of Pharmacy in 1995 and retired in August 2016. In recent years, he served as the director of Shenandoah University’s Design Innovation Center and the Executive Dean at the School of Business.
Juan Peng, PhD
Professor of Accounting and Finance
Associate Professor, Department of Accounting , Antai College of Economics & Management. Her research interests include Financial Management,Marketing of Financial Industry, Marketing Audit and Strategic Financial Management. She teaches Financial Management, Property Evaluation, Law of Economics, Law of Taxation, Principal Accounting, General Theory in Accounting, Financial Management and Contemporary Audit Theory and Practice.
Xiandong Qin, PhD
Professor of Economics
Dr. Qin holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Clemson University and currently serves as a Full Professor at the Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). Prior to joining SJTU, he was a faculty member at North Carolina A&T State University. A prolific scholar, Dr. Qin has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Public Choice and the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization. His research interests span behavioral experiments, learning and memory, game theory, and decision theory. He has also served on the Editorial Council for the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics.
