Athletic Center

A new athletic center at Shenandoah University will support the university's 20 varsity teams for men and women as well as recreational and intramural activities.

Plans for the new athletic center, to be located adjacent to Shentel Stadium, include locker room facilities for all men's and women's teams, a classroom accommodating between 120 and 150 people, a weight facility and fitness room, athletic training and sports medicine areas, a media and hospitality room and staff offices. The center will also feature a basketball arena with a main court and seating for 2,000, a president's box, concessions, ticketing area and two practice courts.

The new athletic center at Shenandoah University will provide much-needed space for a full schedule of safe and healthy social, recreational and intramural activities. All members of the university will have the opportunity for health, physical education, recreation and fitness workouts. The center will provide multipurpose space for the entire community.
