Shenandoah Community Chorus Auditions

Shenandoah Community Chorus Auditions are from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Ruebush Hall, Room 148. Prepared selections are not required. All members of the university community who love to sing – students, faculty and staff – are invited to participate in the chorus.Rehearsals are  Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9 p.m. in Ruebush Hall, Room 148, beginning Sept. 8. DMV2Go Mobile Unit will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Brandt Student Center (across from Armstrong Hall). All students and employees can apply for or renew I.D. cards and drivers’ licenses; take road and knowledge tests; obtain vehicle titles, license plates, decals and transcripts; order disabled parking placards; update DMV records and much more. History at Sunset: Tour Mt. Hebron Cemetery

History at Sunset: Tour Mt. Hebron Cemetery begins at 5 p.m. Meet at the public parking area on West Street behind the Mount Hebron Cemetery. (Reach West Street via Woodstock Lane or National Avenue). This park ranger-led tour provides visitors an opportunity to see sites not normally open or widely accessible to the general public. With graves dating as far back as 1769, the cemetery includes Stonewall Cemetery, the final resting place for more than 2,500 Confederate soldiers. The program is 60 to 90 minutes. FREE

re:Fresh for Families of First-Year Students  welcomes parents and family members back to campus to spend time with their students. Gather in the Brandt Student Center for breakfast around 9 a.m. Breakfast is followed by a special program – until noon – while the college kids sleep in. At noon, students will meet their families in the student center. From there, everyone can head off campus to local attractions, shopping and dinner.
