Shenandoah University Projects & Research “SUpr” Summit is in the Brandt Student Center, Ferrari Room. All students – undergraduate and graduate – of all majors are invited to register for SUpr Summit to showcase their work, including current or past projects, completed or in progress. The summit is a poster session, to be judged by faculty volunteers. The competition is offered to all schools and departments, and prizes will be awarded. Deadline to apply is April 7. To enter, a student must first seek his/her adviser or other faculty member willing to support the entry. Then, submit a 250-word abstract that is approved by the faculty sponsor. 16th Annual Nursing Research & Scholarship Symposium, sponsored by Rho Pi Chapter Sigma Theta Tau International, begins with registration at 7:30 a.m. and the morning program at 8 a.m. in the Brandt Student Center Ferrari Room. Professor Gwen Sherwood, dean for Academic Affairs, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will give the keynote address, “Transforming Outcomes in Nursing Education & Practice.” Registration fee is $100 before April 11; $125 after April 11. Fee includes 5.75 contact hours and lunch. A $25 discount is given to speakers and poster presenters. Registrations will be accepted at the door but lunch cannot be guaranteed.
